System security is the restriction of some screens and the authority to perform certain actions on the POS system. These restrictions are for for areas and functions that should only be performed by management personnel.
Keeping people from entering these areas and performing these actions is the task of the system security. Eclipse POS offers three different options pertaining to system security. The level of security needed in each situation is based solely on the judgment of ownership and management.
Small locations that have few employees, and that are operated by an owner/manager that is on duty most operating hours will probably be fine with a simple password system.
If more security is required, magnetic cards are a step above the simple password system.
The newest, and most advanced, method that we offer is fingerprint recognition.
